What Are Head Sheaves?
Head sheaves are unique devices with a block that has a wheel containing it. This wheel consists of had cuts, have small channels plastic liner all the way, which is used to guide the cable or rope used for lifting the heavy objects. The wheel turns when you pull on the cable or rope, which raises the heavy object. It would be extremely difficult to lift these heavy objects without head sheaves, as there would be no way to properly control the cable or rope.
How Do Head Sheaves Help?
Head sheaves facilitate an easier and safer lift for all parties involved. They minimize the effort needed to pick heavy friction hoist objects. In other words, you don' have to put as much effort in to pick something that is heavy, therefore making the job quicker and easier. The friction liner inside of the head sheave is furnished with a groove that is useful for preventing the cable or rope from slipping out of the system. This is especially valuable as an extra level of safety as workers will be able to lift heavy items with no concern of the cable or rope slipping and resulting in accidents.
